Little Farmers Cay Summer Camp 2009
The YBMS summer camp had 17 students age range from 10-18. The mornings were dedicated to classroom discussions about the days topic followed by an afternoon of field work. Topics covered during the camp include, coral reefs, mangrove communities, invasive species, marine protected areas, stromotalites and our role in the environment

"Who Own Ya Tings" - A game about small island
development and understanding the compromise
required for sustainable economic and
environmental development.

Class in the shallows discussing sea grass communities,
plate tectonics and the origin of the earth.

Discussing the importance of coral reefs and the
many organisms that call it their home.

and id the various fish species discussed in class.

Becoming the dominant predator of the lionfish,
and playing our part to control the lionfish population.

Lionfish Fry! A cook out where the days catch
was shared with the community and everyone enjoyed
the white flaky meat comparable to grouper.
